Funding is now available for a new round of Fire Camps, with up to $5,000 available per department to cover allowable expenses. These camps are designed to help departments reach out to their local communities and aid in recruitment efforts by showing members of the community how the departments operate, and what they can offer to individuals who volunteer. Departments that operated Fire Camps often saw a big spike in community awareness and interest.
